Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the LGT speech and language therapy team in an assistant role. The postholder will offer clinical and non-clinical support to a team of SLTs across acute wards, outpatient dysphagia clinics and videofluoroscopy clinics. Main duties of the job To undertake all aspects of clinical and non-clinical duties and to carry a delegated caseload of patients under the direct and indirect supervision of a qualified therapist, including but not limited to: Working alone on a ward Carrying out swallow screens Reviewing designated patients regarding food intake and consistency Delivering therapy plans according to SLT guidance Assisting with the running of the weekly videofluoroscopy clinic (clinic set-up and feeding of patients) Scheduling, set up and delivery of SLT related training within scope of own role About us Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is a community focused provider of local and acute care, providing high quality services to over one million people living across the London boroughs of Lewisham, Greenwich and Bexley.
