We’re looking for a Head of Marketing — someone senior enough to shape strategy and language across the portfolio, but hands-on enough to do the work. You’ll report directly to the MD and work closely with the heads of our operating companies to help grow their recurring revenue by providing an end-to-end marketing function across social media, email, SEO, paid social, conferences, awards and more. This is a solo role to start, with some room to build out capabilities or bring in external support over time. Must-Have Requirements You're a highly seasoned marketing expert with 5-10 years of experience scaling B2B SaaS or B2B service businesses You're looking to go on an adventure with an ambitious core team to build something great over the next decade Despite your experience, you relish the opportunity to be hands-on in a solo role to make sure we get things right - it's how you're wired Exceptional copywriting skills — highly able to craft sharp, persuasive, on-brand content across websites, email, social, and sales assets Strong commercial instinct — able to quickly understand positioning, competitive landscape, and customer mindset across multiple businesses Proven ability to execute full-stack marketing hands-on: social media, email campaigns (including automations), printed livery, proposal documents, website updates, lead capture forms, events, and awards Strong CRM marketing skills (strong preference for Hubspot) and experience with automations Comfortable owning and editing website content and forms directly in Webflow or WordPress — no developer needed for day-to-day tweaks Strong experience optimizing lead capture flows — including form structure, CTAs, and basic tracking with tools like Google Analytics or Hotjar Self-sufficient for basic graphic design and video editing - Canva or equivalent for graphic assets and Camtasia (or equivalent) for video editing / explainers High personal ownership and initiative — confident working solo, influencing senior stakeholders, and delivering outcomes across brands Experience either running paid ads yourself (ideally including LinkedIn ads) or working closely with a contracted performance marketing expert Strong familiarity with SEO (ideally strong expertise) Nice-to-Haves Experience managing or running performance marketing campaigns — especially LinkedIn ads - enough to not rely on a contractor Significant SEO/SEM knowledge — enough to own that capability internally without contractors Strong Excel skills so you can download market data and then clean it and analyse it without needing a market analyst or data analyst Prior experience working in-house in UK SMEs providing a B2B service or SaaS Main responsibilities Hands-on, solo role reporting to Founder / Managing Director Develop and lead marketing strategy across the portfolio — define positioning, messaging, and differentiation for each operating company, turning insights into effective campaigns and brand assets Execute across all key marketing channels — including social media, email (including automations), paid social, livery, proposal documents, websites, events, awards, and sales enablement, keeping initiatives moving without external delays Own and manage website content and lead capture flows — write and edit site copy, update forms, tweak conversion paths, and track performance using light analytics tools; escalate to developers only when major changes are needed Create high-quality marketing assets — from compelling copy to on-brand visuals and short videos, using tools like Canva and Camtasia Act as the central marketing point of contact — work directly with opco leaders, support their commercial efforts, and manage external partners like developers, designers, PR, and paid media contractors In general, elevate the marketing function of all our companies to a high level If this sounds like you — high-judgment, hands-on, and fluent in both brand and execution — we’d love to hear from you.
