We are the partner of choice for outsourced storage, order fulfilment and delivery services for a growing and diverse portfolio of B2B and B2C brands. Our services are bespoke to each individual client and we pride ourselves on our ability to perform to operational standards beyond the reach of our competitors. Our principal services vary depending on the client, however in general we book their products into our warehouse through our goods in department, we control their stock levels, receive orders from their customers, we then pick the products ordered accurately, pack them in accordance with specified requirements and despatch them using the most appropriate carrier. Role Overview The role involves ensuring timely deliveries of pallets and/or parcels, maintaining vehicle upkeep, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a valid driver’s license, good navigation skills, and a focus on safety. Key Objectives Safely transport goods to specified destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Load and unload cargo, following safety and handling guidelines to prevent damage. Verify delivery instructions and address any issues that arise in transit. Provide friendly and professional service to clients upon delivery, answering any questions they may have. Handle delivery paperwork and acquire necessary signatures or documentation from customers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues. Ensure vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance, such as fuelling, checking oil levels, and tire pressure. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies regarding driving. Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, adjusting as necessary based on traffic or other conditions. Use GPS or map applications to navigate unfamiliar routes and update the office on estimated arrival times. Keep an accurate log of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle mileage. Assist with tracking and inventory control by managing delivery items and returning undelivered items to the warehouse. Core Competencies Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Strong navigational skills with the ability to use GPS and digital route planning tools. Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Strong interpersonal skills to interact courteously with customers and team members. Ability to lift and move packages, weighing up to 25kg. Ability to use a hand pallet truck to move pallets. Ability to sit, stand, or drive for extended periods.
