Job Specification: QEHS Manager
Job Summary
This role is to drive our client's Transport business in achieving the best possible health, safety, environmental, quality, and assurance standards in accordance with UK legislation, European Directives, our client's operational requirements, and client standards. The Manager of QEHS will lead a team to drive and maintain industry best practices, minimize the potential for injury, and promote business efficiency by implementing robust health and safety management systems and fostering an industry-leading health and safety culture.
Key Deliverables
The key deliverables of this role are as follows:
Provide a high level of Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) support for our client's Asset Management suppliers operating within the Metro and Rail environments.
Ensure compliance with all QEHS legislation, customer and stakeholder QEHS requirements (including contractors and suppliers), and industry best practices by implementing relevant policies and safe working procedures.
Host regular QEHS meetings with suppliers to ensure they have received and understood our client's QEHS communications.
Conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations of incidents, including but not limited to accidents, near misses, environmental incidents, and Don't Walk By reports, advising on changes and improvements in work practices.
