The Berkshire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) is looking forapassionate and enthusiasticband 4advanced clinical support workerto join their innovative and dynamic team.
The EIP team is a trust wide service, with teams based at each locality, although this post will be based at Reading, Prospect House.
We are a specialist service working with individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis or who are presenting with an at-risk mental state,between the ages of 18to 65.
We operatea Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm service, although some flexibility is required.
You will have a clear passion for supporting people and their family in their recovery. You will work with our integrated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychological therapists, and STR workers to empower and support our clients to understand their experiences and return to college,universityor employment.
We work with our clients for up to 3 years and the majority do get transferred back to their GP, therefore it is a rewarding team to work with.
• To be responsible, under the guidance of a qualified professional, for delivering care to clients under the EIP Service. They will support nursing staff and other members of the MDT in the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of effective,evidencedbased care, ensuring the care is holistic andthat andstandards of care are enhanced.
• To provide quality, care and support which enables clients to be supported with a recovery focus throughout their EIP journey, whilst promoting independence and protecting choice, dignity,privacyand safety.
• To contribute to the clinical management of designated service users, in assessing, planning,implementingand evaluating care. Supporting and working collaboratively with the clients care coordinator in reviewing and updating risk assessments and risk management and care-plans with clients and theircarer’swithin their level of competency under the supervision of a registered professional.
• To take an active lead and promote recovery with the patient journey from referral to transfer of care to appropriate service/team/GP

The “must haves” for this role:
• Degree: for example, BSc in a health related subject
• Good general educational qualifications including English
• Previous experience working with people with any of the following: mental health difficulties
• Ability to work flexibly and have a commitment to working in a dynamic and innovative service.
