Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Based at Training & Development Centre, Handsworth, Sheffield.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week

Salary: Grade 7 £35,235 - £37,938 per annum
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are looking to recruit 2 driven Health and Safety Advisors who wish to be part of a busy team working within a challenging and exciting organisation.
Duties will include the provision of health and safety assistance to all managers across all functions, developing procedures and guidance on a wide range of health and safety related matters, undertaking risk assessments and advising on risk control, delivery of health and safety training, completing workplace inspections, undertaking accident and incident investigations and conducting audits of the health and safety management system.
Holding a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification and graduate membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health you will have significant and relevant experience of working within an occupational safety and health role.
New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. We offer 28 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years’ service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days. We also operate a generous flexi time attendance scheme.
