Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a Christian mixed secondary school and sixth form that boasts a 'rich and diverse educational environment', located in West Sussex. The school was recently graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas during Ofsted’s visit and is working with Teaching Personnel to build up a pool of substitute teachers, available on an ad hoc basis.
The school prides itself on a diverse curriculum and a strong emphasis on personal development and social responsibility. It also offers a special support centre for students with autism spectrum disorder, reflecting its commitment to inclusive education. The school is a large academy with a core ethos that supports the development of both staff and students, determined to improve student performance in all areas.
About the Role:
The role of a substitute or supply teacher is ideal for educators who wish to undertake flexible work based on their availability; whether you are looking for day-to-day work or longer-term positions, we can help facilitate this. This is a great opportunity to teach a variety of subjects and age groups, gaining invaluable experience in different educational settings, without the responsibility of planning lessons or marking work. To succeed in this role, you will deliver pre-planned lessons with enthusiasm, ensuring continuity of education in the absence of the permanent teacher. You will be confident in managing challenging behaviour and able to build rapport with pupils quickly.
If you would be interested in working with this school on an ad hoc basis, please apply now with your CV.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’; this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance is provided.
