Overview Selwyn College is seeking a new Head of Finance, following the retirement of the current post holder. The Head of Finance is one of the College’s senior managers, responsible for leading the finance team, as well as providing advice, information and support to the Bursar, other college officers, and a variety of college committees. The role holds overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the financial and accounting operations of the College, a charity with income and costs of around £13m annually. Budgeting, management information provision, financial, tax, charity commission and other reporting are central. The Head of Finance is also responsible for banking and insurance arrangements, and for maintaining and monitoring effective financial systems and controls. We are looking for a self-motivated accountant with excellent technical and interpersonal skills. We want someone with proven ability not just in managing their own team, but in liaising with and influencing the wider institution around them.
