Title: Hazardous Waste Controller
Location: Darlaston, West Midlands
Salary: Negotiable
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Hazardous Waste Controller to work for our client at their facility in Darlaston. This role reports to the Senior Site Operations Manager and will contribute and provide the necessary expertise to ensure the continued integrity, professionalism, and effectiveness of a comprehensive Site Operations function that meets Group requirements of control, reporting, and business practice.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Weekly:
o Review customer control forms daily.
o Arrange battery exporting including picking recycler, battery chemistry, and organizing haulage based on evidence available with Commercial.
o Complete export documents (raising Annex VII or prenotification) and ensure receipt of completed documents once received by recycler (Part E).
o Work with Logistics and Commercial to arrange larger collections, in line with stock requirements.
o Development of automated stock - working alongside the battery dismantling manager.
o Provide stock movement report for Manager.
o Work closely with the sales and operations teams to improve management of imports and dispatched into and out of site in line with site operations.
o Supervisor in customs to ensure month-end targets are met, along with weekly stocks and required reports.
2. Monthly:
o Support in all continuous improvement projects as and when required.
o Month-end Stock.
o Support and participate in Quarterly return submissions to EA.
3. Yearly:
o ABTO ABE license renewal with Compliance support.
o EA ABTO audit with Compliance.
o TFS renewals for import and export (currently 8 active TFS) and implement any new TFS when required.
o Year-end Stock audit present for visit on site and provide supporting documents.
Knowledge and Experience:
* 5 years + experience in Inventory control and TFS background.
* Excellent English language speaking and writing skills.
* Adaptable and flexible approach.
* Ability to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work with people at all levels of the organisation.
* Keen to continue to improve understanding and knowledge of plant operations/Group strategies to contribute towards the organisation.
* Hardworking attitude and reliable.
Salary & Benefits Information:
* Competitive base salary to be discussed with candidates on an individual basis.
* Performance-based bonus scheme.
* Defined contribution pension, min 6.25% employee contribution with max 10% employer contribution of basic annual salary.
* Death in service cover of 3x salary (if member of pension scheme).
* 25 days' holiday plus statutory days.
* Notice period of 3 months either way.
