We are looking for a permanent Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team.
As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician you will be required to respond to breakdowns, carry out corrective tasks, and Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules (PPM's). You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a manufacturing role using state-of-the-art machinery, with opportunities for career progression.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work a 3 shift rotating pattern 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, 22:00 - 06:00 (40 hrs/week).
About the Role
As the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician you will be providing both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service for all operational equipment and site facilities.
Key Responsibilities of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician
1. Ensuring all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is completed safely, cost effectively, on time and to a satisfactory standard.
2. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager and being capable of acting as proxy if required.
3. Providing a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance levels and that all departmental Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators are met.
4. Reacting in a timely manner to maintenance requests.
5. Following common processes and standards within the engineering department including Safety, Quality, Environment, and Security.
6. Maximizing availability of all mechanical and electrical equipment through continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements
1. Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or served a full engineering apprenticeship.
2. Background in tissue/paper converting, printing, or similar industries would be advantageous.
3. Significant practical engineering experience.
4. Proven knowledge/experience of PLCs including Siemens S5 and S7.
5. Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines (60/40 split).
6. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
7. Significant experience of AC and DC motors and drives.
8. Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal) at all levels.
9. Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
