Position: National Account Executive
Location: York (Hybrid working – approx. 2 flexible days a week in our York office)

Position Summary
As part of the Nestlé Sales Team, you will be building a Sales community of unique people that thrive together, make a positive difference, and deliver market-leading results. You will manage and develop customer relationships across various categories including Confectionery, Coffee, Food, Dairy, and Infant Nutrition.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join the team as a National Account Executive on a Top 5 grocery account. We are looking for a proactive, results-focused, and highly driven sales professional to help us achieve our ambitious and innovative plans.
A day in the life of a National Account Executive …
The National Account Executive plays a key role within the Nestlé Sales Team and is responsible for supporting the development and management of share-winning profitable customer plans.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Own and agree the customer baselines with Sales Analyst at the required customer/EAN level as a base for building the plan.
* Own and develop promotional plans including revenue, trade spend, and promotion activation details.
* Develop and continuously improve customer Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with a pay-for-performance mindset.
* Support the timely and accurate external execution of Customer Plans with the Customer Business Team.
* Indirect leadership of Category and Marketing teams to facilitate best-in-class category strategies.
* Request completion of relevant customer admin with the Sales Admin Team in a timely manner.
* Support with the timely preparation and input into all relevant internal planning processes.
* Complete promotional pre- and post-evaluation and optimisation throughout the year to drive ROI.
* Support with the management of trade spend actuals and attendance at trade spend reviews.
* Timely communication with field ops to enable field teams at the point of purchase.
What will make you successful
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have commercial experience within the FMCG sector. You will be motivated to build great relationships and continuously improve as a team.
You will also:
* Be proficient in Excel and comfortable using other Microsoft Office programs.
* Utilise insightful information and be naturally analytical.
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial and financial situations.
* Have forecasting, sales, and negotiation experience.
* Work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
* Possess strong and flexible communication skills.
* Be organised and adept at planning and prioritising workloads.
* Take initiative to solve problems and overcome barriers.
