We are seeking an IPS Employment Specialist to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our STEP-UP Programme. What will be expected from me? As part of the overall expansion of the STEP-UP Programme, you will be working within a team of IPS Employment Specialists and a caseload of clients who are in structured treatment for drug and/ or alcohol use to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. What I might be doing? You will also be responsible for contributing towards and the reporting of outcomes to the Council’s Public Health Team and for the development of improvement measures where they are needed. You will deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred advice and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with clinical teams and key partners to enable clients to move into suitable employment. Overall Purpose of the Post: As part of the overall expansion of the STEP UP Programme, you will be working within a team of specialist IPS Employment Specialists and a caseload of clients who are in structured treatment for drug and/ or alcohol use to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred advice and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with our Business Engagement Officers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. You will also be responsible for supporting with the reporting of outcomes to the Council’s Public Health Team and for the development of improvement measures where they are needed. What can I expect? This is a Full-Time post of 37 hours per week, with a mix of office and homeworking possible. Support and ongoing training.
