Your role:
The Electrician role forms part of the Network Management and Highway Operations Service, responsible for the maintenance of the borough’s highway network. As an Electrician you will be required to carry out all aspects of maintenance work for lighting columns, Christmas decorations and other installations.
You will also be required to work flexibly according to the standby rota to attend emergency call outs, both during and outside working hours, to provide assistance with any emergency event relating to the service within the boundaries of Wigan Borough.
About you:
You will be supervising Street Lighting Operatives. The ability to build positive relationships with our customers is also a must. You will ensure quality services are delivered, fairly, courteously and responsively to our customers both internal and external.
It is vital to the service that all work is undertaken in line with performance targets, and you will be key in achieving this. Where you identify possible improvements in systems, processes and working methods, we would expect you to share this with the team to drive forward performance improvements.
