To join this team please have the following requirements:
* Must possess a valid unencumbered, RN State License.
* A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
* Must have experience in supervision and principles, the practice of teaching, etc.
* Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices is strongly preferred.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
* Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the written staffing plan that reflects the needs of the department.
* Perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and the medical team.
* Work in partnership with the Administrator to ensure quality, person-centered care.
* Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures in accordance with current rules and regulations.
