Join us as a trusted HR Business Partner within our Infrastructure Operating Unit. Collaborate closely with Operations Directors and Project management teams to drive the implementation of our people plan. You'll coach line managers, fostering accountability while ensuring top-tier people engagement and performance. As an HR practitioner and account manager, you'll handle all HR matters using shared specialist resources, embodying the ‘one Skanska’ philosophy. What you’ll do:
* Demonstrate role modelling of, and be ambassador for, HR business partnering across your areas.
* Develop a thorough understanding of how Infrastructure projects are commercially viable and add value through people related activities. Utilise people data to measure and improve project performance.
* Support the HR Director with resource forecasting for your dedicated areas to understand future requirements and implement strategies to address.
* Work in collaboration with the Resourcing team to offer robust governance and benchmarking to support an effective recruitment process.
* Identify areas of skill shortages and any demographic trends of concern and create and implement plans to address.
* Manage employee relations matters effectively to promote a high-performance culture.
* Support the HR Director to execute all annual HR activities effectively.
* Drive sector talent review processes, and work with operational teams to ensure robust succession plans are in place for key roles across multiple time horizons.
* Ensure that talent is identified, developed and retained.
* Effectively champion the engagement survey and outputs to leverage engagement levels across the sector and work with Directors and project leaders on areas which require intervention.
* Actively support and work within the HR Service Delivery model, in partnership with HR specialist functions.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* Proven delivery in the key areas of generalist HR including business partnering experience, coaching line managers through people related matters.
* A thorough and up to date knowledge of employment law, and experience of practical application of this in a complex business environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and excellent spoken and written communication skills.
* Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with a track record of building credible relationships.
* Resilient - able to face challenges proactively and comfortable dealing with senior management of the organisation.
* Able to work as part of a team; demonstrates the ability to network effectively up, down and across the business.
