Be Personnel have a new vacancy for a Chill Supervisor at our clients site in Nairn. As a chill supervisor you will be responsible for assisting the Distribution Manager with controlling the distribution of finished goods and liaising with distribution re deliveries to depots to ensure accurate and timely dispatching and receipting.
The Responsibilities:
Line management responsibility for Chill employees
Cage reconciliation
Assist with administration tasks at weekend – process orders/deliveries on GRID
Cleaning of the Chill is undertaken and managed on daily/weekly basis
Planning and organisation of the Chill Store
Ensure the movement of products in and out of the Chill Store are managed effectively
Stock is rotated and waste is minimised
Ensure accurate timely despatching and receipting
Making up and checking orders
Accurate Stock counts to be undertaken daily and inputted to stock-take system
Ensure all record keeping is completed in timely manner and is accurate.
Ensure safe and accurate loading of vehicles
Liaise with distribution re deliveries to depots
Liaise with Production with regards to stock levels and production figures
Ensure that team members are capable and undertake jobs assigned in the required manner and recommend resource and training requirements. –to liase with Technical for chemical training or computer based training
Manage weekly rotas and ensure sufficient staffing levels
Carry out and review training for all Chill operatives
Carry out return to work interviews
Ensure that the activities of the team are conducted such that a healthy and safe working environment is maintained.
Line manager responsibility for chill staff, including disciplinary and performance reviews under guidance of distribution manager
Maintain cleanliness in the Chill Area and update records daily
Ensure all vehicle fridges are running and vehicles are clean before loading
Ensure general hygiene, housekeeping and compliance with legislation, standards and codes of practice are adhered to as set by the Company
Recording and explaining of waste - all waste sheets to be completed and explanations recorded, these must be signed off by management before being entered into system.
Load and Trailer temperatures taken and recorded daily
The requirements:
Warehouse experience
Experience of supervising a small team
Basic Hygiene certificate preferable
