Associate Mechanical Engineer - Join a Creative Team of Engineers and Bring Buildings to Life!
We're on the hunt for a talented Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our award-winning engineering consultancy in London. As a key member of our Operational Engineering team, you'll work on a diverse range of projects, from refurbishments to new builds, and collaborate with experts from various disciplines. Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical advice to clients on the operation of mechanical/electrical engineering services in existing buildings
2. Deliver refurbishment and upgrade projects from inception to completion
3. Undertake condition surveys, produce written reports, and develop mechanical designs and specifications
4. Lead mechanical services design on large projects and overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects
5. Manage and prioritise project workloads, including specialist groups
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, project managers, and contractors
7. Contribute to the professional development of individual team members
What We're Looking For:
1. Excellent technical knowledge in mechanical design engineering and building services engineering
2. Good experience in using standards and codes applied in building services
3. Ability to undertake MEP building services surveys with minimal supervision
4. Strong peer review skills and knowledge of regulatory/standards documentation
5. Experience working on projects in existing buildings, undertaking site inspections, and commissioning witnessing
6. Strong relationships and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and supervise junior staff
7. Chartered engineer or near completion
