Job Description
Social Value Manager | £60,000 | London / LB of Newham | Main Contractor | Permanent
There’s a lot more to construction than bricks and mortar. In this role, you will understand that great buildings aren’t just made to look good but made with the community in mind.
This belief is at the heart of everything this main contractor does and they are now looking for a Social Value Manager to help ensure their latest venture in the London Borough of Newham comes to fruition in conjunction with the community.
Working closely with a range of people – from the client to local community groups and residents, the Social Value Manager will play a key role in shaping the value of this major project. Whether it’s creating programmes to boost local employment, setting up training initiatives, or collaborating with schools to inspire young people, your work will leave an impact lasting far beyond the lifespan of the project.
The job is dynamic, rewarding and full of potential. One day you might be meeting with residents to understand their needs, the next you could be presenting your social value strategy to stakeholders. It’s the kind of role where no two days are the same but your ability to connect with people, build trust and deliver on promises will make all the difference.
You don’t have to live in Newham to understand its energy and uniqueness, but if you know - and have connections to - the area, this could be a real advantage as it’s all about bringing local perspective into every decision, making sure the project serves the community in a way that is meaningful and lasting.
If you have comprehensive experience working in a Social Value Manager / Residential Liaison Officer / Customer Liaison Office capacity within a main contractor and have the ambition to continue working for a major main contractor delivering amazing projects that add real value, this could be the role for you.
