Maintenance Team Leader
Location: Telford
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive – DOE
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hrs per week, Double days plus occasional night shift on a rota basis
We are currently recruiting for a well-established global manufacturer in Telford who is looking for an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join the business. As the Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small team of maintenance technicians, allocating daily workload, ensuring KPIs are met, developing team performance, and providing leadership. You will also be hands-on with maintenance activities such as responding to breakdowns, conducting preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring machinery is running efficiently, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing a small team of maintenance technicians
2. Allocating day-to-day workload and monitoring individual performance
3. Planning and managing total preventative maintenance
4. Ensuring KPIs and quality standards are met
5. Responding to machine breakdowns or faults and conducting mechanical and electrical repairs
6. Supporting onsite continuous improvement activities
7. Communicating machine faults and any issues across shifts and relevant departments
8. Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to
Skills and Experience:
1. Multiskilled – Ideally electrically biased but not essential
2. Previous experience leading maintenance teams or leadership experience
3. Experience fault finding and repairing pneumatics, hydraulics, and ideally PLCs and robots
4. Previously worked in a high-volume manufacturing environment such as food manufacturing, FMCG, or Automotive
This role would suit a candidate with previous experience in roles such as Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Lead, Multiskilled Maintenance Team Leader, Multiskilled Maintenance Supervisor, or Multiskilled Maintenance Lead.
