Description
We are currently seeking a Quarry Operative to join our team in East Anglia working between Flixton Quarry in Bungay and Norton Subcourse Quarry in Hales.
The successful candidate must hold a current driving licence. A licence for heavy mobile plant is preferred but not essential. Training can be provided for the suitable candidate.
You will be self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team and be available to work flexible working patterns.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operating heavy machinery such as a Loading Shovel to support our Quarry operations.
2. Supporting your team members in a fast-paced environment.
3. Helping us to ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policy and regulations, including manual handling and safe systems of work guidelines.
4. Adhering to best practice health & safety guidelines.
5. Maintain good housekeeping practices ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy.
6. Holiday and sickness weighbridge cover duties.
We operate a 48-hour working week with hours Monday to Friday and Saturdays on occasion. Any hours worked above 48 hours will be paid as overtime. On occasion you may need to be flexible in the hours you work.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
1. A reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
2. Full UK Driving Licence.
3. Licence to operate heavy machinery (optional).

It would be an advantage if you have worked in a similar role before and have experience of driving mobile plant, but training will be given.
