Project SHE Advisor Sellafield Permanent Summary We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project SHE Advisor to join our team based at our Sellafield site. In this role you will support the assigned project to implement and maintain an ‘industry leading’ and compliant occupational health, safety and environmental management system. You will support the Divisional SHE Manager and Project Manager by providing pro-active professional support and guidance on all SHE issues, promoting a commitment to continuous improvement on both the project and for the division. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: Provide health and safety leadership and guidance to ensure that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities Support personnel to understand their specific SHE policy duties, and address any matters of concern. Ensure inspections of project work locations are regularly undertaken and there are safe working practices and compliance to the company SHE policy/procedures. Make recommendations to both employed and supply chain members to correct and/or improve SHE performance Support any external audits and necessary accreditation schemes Support the Project Manager and Divisional SHE Manager in reporting SHE performance for the project, and monthly/annual reports Produce the SHELT slide deck Assist with kelvin Topset investigations and report in line with 2-2-2 process. Support the project in completion of accident reports and review SHE related accidents/incidents, ensuring appropriate levels of investigations are carried out and all necessary learning and corrective actions are captured, communicated and understood. Support the application of the health and safety management system. Interface with project team to cascade information and ensure campaigns are implemented. Support the development of processes and solutions for known SHE problems/concerns and report to Divisional SHE Manager on innovation to ensure consistency across the region. Support the supply chain SHE performance reviews. Ensure SHE alerts and knowledge shares are communicated. What we’re looking for : Good knowledge of SHE legislation and an understanding of industry led best practice and/or recognised standards in relevant sector Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001) Good report writing/IT skills and excellent communication/interpersonal skills Experience in leading a safety culture and supporting project teams.
