Role Description
We are currently seeking suitably qualified, experienced and skilled Senior Planners to join our growing planning team.
As a Planner, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning and scheduling of projects and programmes of works, ensuring their effective execution and timely completion. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various project stakeholders, including project teams, designers, contractors, and subcontractors. You will be responsible for creating project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying potential risks and delays, implementing mitigation measures, measuring, and reviewing schedules against contracts.
The successful candidate will have experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry. Prior experience using planning software is essential.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Planner
* Develop and maintain the programme schedules using planning software, supporting scenario modelling and what-if analysis.
* Develop and implement strategic plans for project execution.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of planning efforts.
* Monitor and analyse project progress, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and senior management, to provide timely updates.
* Advise on complex scenarios, communicating clearly, and providing analysis and input to corrective measures as required.
* Play a key role in multidisciplinary teams and take a lead role in the creation, management, and validation of plans, analysing trends using the appropriate techniques as required.
* Providing schedule and resource management support on programmes and projects.
* Evaluate change and manage the schedule baseline with approved change.
* Review and evaluation of supply chain schedule, including schedule integrity and performance reporting.
* Assessment of supply chain Early Warnings and Compensation Events under the NEC form of contract.
* Support programme reporting, presentations and communications.
Key Requirements – Senior Planner
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Proficiency in Project Management and Planning software and tools and Microsoft Suite
* Knowledge of industry best practices and regulations, planning methodologies, techniques and processes for programme and project management.
* Stakeholder management skills with the ability to inform, persuade, influence, and constructively challenge a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills, at all working and management levels.
* Extremely collaborative, with the ability to build excellent working relationships and work with sensitive data.
* NEC contract experience is preferred
* SC clearance (preferred) or ability to obtain SC clearance (essential)
* Right to work in the UK
