We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our Children in Crisis Liaison team within the Paediatric department at UHCW.
We are looking to recruit a motivated and committed nurse with excellent communication skills as well as acute hospital clinical experience to foster efficient relationships for service users and our staff.
The successful candidate will provide liaison support as well as clinical and educational support for staff caring for our Children in Crisis across UHCW. The post holder, in collaboration with the Adolescent and Children in Crisis Lead, will play a major role in identifying and assessing the Professional Development needs of staff in relation to Children in Crisis and will be responsible for coordinating and participating in the delivery of appropriate training programmes.

We have a supportive and welcoming team which includes the Paediatric Adolescent & Children in Crisis Lead, Ward Management team, Paediatric Matron & Lead Nurse, Paediatric Practice Educators, and a dedicated Paediatric Workforce Lead. Together they will ensure you receive the support you require throughout the recruitment process as well as overseeing your training and induction requirements to enable you to carry out your role.
1. Promote a positive attitude towards Children in Crisis, challenging negative attitudes at all levels.
2. Contribute to relevant service development.
3. Actively engage in clinical supervision/debriefing for self and others.

Job responsibilities
1. Accountable for own actions in accordance with the code of Professional Conduct.
2. Work clinically alongside nurses who are new starters, newly qualified or require specific support in relation to Children in Crisis.
3. Promote best practice in line with current paediatric national and local guidelines.
4. Promote best practice in ensuring NMC Record Keeping Standards.
5. Act as a clinical role model promoting the professional image of nursing within the Trust and ensuring that nursing practice is in accordance with the Trust's policies and procedures and statutory nursing bodies legislation.
6. Establish good working relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues within the Trust.
7. Maintain own clinical competency in line with the NMC Code of Professional standards of practice for nurses, midwives and nursing associates.
8. Available to be rostered for a minimum of one clinical shift per month, this may be increased dependent on service need.
