Banana Moon Day Nurseries is excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and experienced Deputy Room Leader to join our dedicated team. As a Deputy Room Leader, you will provide essential support to the Room Leader in delivering high-quality care and education for children.
In this role, you will help create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children, ensuring that their individual needs are met. You will also play a vital role in fostering positive relationships with parents and caregivers, ensuring effective communication regarding their child’s development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Room Leader in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
* Assist in supervising and mentoring nursery staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
* Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment according to health and safety regulations.
* Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere.
* Take on the Room Leader's responsibilities in their absence and ensure continuity of care.
* Contribute to observations and assessments of children's progress and development.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated individual with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
* Experience working in a nursery setting, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities.
