Job Title: 1:1 Child Support in Primary School Location: Bournemouth Hourly Rate: £12.82 per hour Start date: October 2024 Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only Are you an experienced teaching assistant with a background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs? GSL Education are currently working closely with a local mainstream primary school in Bournemouth to support their recruitment of a teaching assistant who can provide additional support for pupils with additional needs. We are looking for nurturing, adaptable and highly motivated individuals who have a passion for tailoring strategies and provision based on the needs of the child. For this role, the ideal candidate will be able to develop and implement effective methods of reengagement and behaviour management, as well as the ability to adapt and use initiative. Prior experience working in a school or in a setting supporting children/ young people with additional needs would be desirable. This Role Includes: - Supporting the teaching and learning of pupils with SEN or SEMH needs - Supporting the pupil both in and out of the classroom, including emotional regulation activities - Working closely with pupils that display challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties - Working collaboratively with other members of staff to ensure that the needs of the pupils are effectively and consistently met. - Full time is preferred, but part time applicants may still apply If you think you are suitable for the role, or would like the chance to discuss this further, please apply with your CV and we will be in touch with you shortly.
