Science Teacher – Specialist School in Croydon Position: Science Teacher Location: Croydon, South London Contract: Full-time, Permanent A specialist school in Croydon is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a supportive and inclusive environment, where you will work with students who have a range of special educational needs (SEN). About the Role: As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students. You will work closely with support staff and other professionals to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment, enabling every student to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs. Adapt lessons to accommodate students' individual learning styles and abilities, ensuring accessibility for all. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support. Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to guide their development. Work collaboratively with colleagues, including SENCo and support staff, to create a holistic and inclusive approach to teaching. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, motivated, and encouraged to learn. Contribute to the development of students’ social and emotional skills, supporting their overall well-being. What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in teaching Science. Experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable. A passion for Science and the ability to engage and inspire students with diverse learning needs. Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
