Assessing and teaching service users under the supervision of a qualified therapist To be involved in teaching and providing instruction to relatives, carers and other professionals, to promote understanding of the aims of occupational therapy and to ensure a consistent approach to service user care. To contribute to the assessment of a service users understanding of treatment proposals, and work within the legal framework with clients who lack capacity to consent. To support other staff and students as appropriate To respond positively to organisational change and be flexible with work practices depending on need
