Business Development Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our Sales Support Team based in our Ipswich office. The successful applicant will be responsible nurturing new business and developing relationships with known customers who do not regularly ship with MSC.
The successful candidate will help identify new business opportunities and their shipping requirements, arrange quotations, follow up with customers to secure the booking or obtain feedback and guide/support customers through our end to end processes and procedures.
Skills and experience you'll bring to us
1. Minimum basic school level qualifications (GCSE) with grade C+ in English, Math’s, IT.
2. Competent in using Microsoft programs, including Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
3. Self-motivated with a sales focused mindset.
4. Experience within shipping / logistics industry.
5. Ability to communicate effectively at internal and external levels and to build relationships.
6. Able to demonstrate high standards of work with accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Able to demonstrate a positive approach to resolving issues, working off own initiative.
8. Proven experience in business development
