Asset Surveyor
Kingsmead Office : London
GBP 52,656 : GBP 55,427 per year plus company car
40 hours per week : Monday to Friday : 8:00am to 4:30pm
We are currently seeking an Asset Surveyor to join our team based in London. This position sits within assets team and will be based in our Kingsmead office in Hackney who are responsible for carrying out stock condition surveys, managing disrepair cases, overlooking the reinvestment and cyclical programmes for all stock within the London region. They advise on reinvestment programmes, stock condition surveys, and provide specialist surveyor input on a range of other matters to ensure that properties are maintained and retain their value.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing disrepair cases through to completion, carrying out stock condition surveys, managing insurance claims and liaising with the insurance team, assisting with the management of reinvestment and cyclical projects.
The role of Asset Surveyor
will include:

Undertaking Disrepairs, Awareness Notices, Stock Condition surveys and other property inspections in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and contract performance

Helping to identify required asset improvements in line with business plans, ensuring that strategies and plans are developed and high:quality services are delivered

Managing cyclical and capital work projects in line with legislation and making appropriate recommendations

Overseeing the delivery of mixed tenure work programmes in accordance with the organisation's financial policies and procedures

Maintaining accurate records and managing documentation for work specifications and quotations

Providing detailed reports and advice on budgets to aid decision making and reviewing costs for accuracy as appropriate

Coordinating and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of progress by providing clear and precise updates

To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to AssocRIC, MRICS CIOB, Degree in Surveying or currently undertaking the qualification. Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third:party suppliers

Experience of working within a building, surveying and maintenance environment

Experience of managing and an understanding of legal disrepair cases

Ability to extract and interpret computerised information and documentation

Proficient user of Microsoft packages

This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
