The Senior Staff Nurse will lead on the implementation of education and development plans which involve the induction, mentoring, preceptorship and the ongoing professional development of all staff on the Unit. This will also include ensuring robust systems are in place to record and monitor ward performance against agreed targets for Mandatory training. Ward 220 comprises of 28 telemetry monitored beds.
The Senior Staff Nurse will take part in a rotational day to night rota providing 24 hour 7 day a week cover on Ward 220.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead on the implementation and development of care standards to reflect the “Proud To Care” initiatives.
2. Quality improvement programmes at ward level as identified from the Ward Indicators.
3. Delivery of specific corporate quality initiatives as described in the Nursing, Midwifery and AHP Strategy.
4. Actively engage in the delivery of the Clinical Assurance Framework and the corporate tools available.
