Internal Communications Executive
Salary: £26,000+
Hours: 37.5 per week/Monday-Friday

Purpose of role:
This role is accountable for the delivery of the employee communications strategy that effectively engages our people in our priorities, principles and future vision. It will require someone who can understand our business and culture, and who can develop and write outstanding messaging and deliver this through creative and impactful channels, ensuring that our employee communication adheres to our HEART principles and brand guidelines. The role will deliver best-in-class communications using different channels.
It will gather and utilise employee data insight and analysis to help influence communication priorities and decision-making. Implementing key messages using a variety of channels to ensure all colleague networks are informed about current and future activities.

What You Will Be Doing:
7. Delivering employee communications that drives activities to support business goals and deliver results
8. Deliver employee communication campaigns, projects and events that support Bright Horizons key strategic themes, in collaboration with relevant business and communication teams
9. Provide our leaders, people managers and communications network with messaging, materials and briefings that enable them to inform and engage colleagues
10. Create compelling content and messages and implementing them across multiple channels to engage colleagues about priorities and progress, aligned to our purpose, strategy and values
11. Proactively source compelling stories from within the wider Bright Horizons business and publish on relevant channels to drive colleague engagement and support our strategy
12. Communicate organisation change and transformation across multiple channels
13. Gather and utilise employee data insight and analysis to help influence communication priorities and decision-making
14. Ensure plans and messaging are aligned and maximised by working collaboratively with communications colleagues across the business
15. Develop strong relationships with key champions, advocates and colleagues to support wider colleague engagement
16. Keep up-to-date with the latest employee communications research, techniques and approach, and network with peers
17. Comply with Bright Horizons policies and procedures regarding the operation of services and the employment of staff, whilst actively promoting the core values of the business - HEART principles and Keeping Everyone Safe
What You Will Need:
18. Exceptional writing ability, particularly in developing short, fresh content using straightforward language across multiple channels
19. Proven experience in producing content across different channels, including written stories, videos, audio formats and other creative mediums such as Canva
20. Tenacious and able to make difficult decisions through sound judgment and positively manage conflicting priorities
21. An “ideas person” with a creative eye
22. Relationship management skills and experience building strong stakeholder relationships at all levels
23. Able to prioritise competing demands and resolve complex issues
24. Ability to gather, interpret and analyse engagement data to demonstrate return on investment and inform decision making
25. Results-driven orientation, able to work independently and with confidence
26. Resilient when working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
27. Has a passion for purpose-led organisations who are committed to inclusion and creating a culture of belonging
28. Proven track record in a communications role within a sizable company (ideally with a complex mix of product/services) developing and implementing compelling, engaging and authentic employee communications (desirable)
29. Demonstrable success in developing and implementing employee communication plans (desirable)
30. Experience leading communications during periods of significant change within an organisation (desirable)
