Large Format Production Manager

About the Company:
Our client is a UK leader in providing large format POS and display solutions, specialising in the automotive and retail sectors. They are a forward-thinking and innovative manufacturing business with a focus on delivering high-quality digital print solutions throughout Europe. Following significant investment in new, state-of-the art printing technology, they are continuing the expansion of their production team and are looking for motivated individuals to join their plant based in the heart of Kent.
Role Overview:
As Production Manager, you'll be the driving force behind their manufacturing units, providing leadership and technical support to the account management teams. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing production planning, scheduling, and ensuring seamless operation of the production studio, operators, and account managers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and lead production meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
2. Verify job specifications to guarantee accurate project delivery within agreed timelines.
3. Foster team accountability by overseeing production processes, quality control measures, and fulfilment targets.
4. Develop and implement comprehensive schedules for campaigns and events, ensuring successful project outcomes.
5. Offer technical guidance and support to account managers and clients as needed to facilitate project execution.
6. Manage factory administration systems and tools efficiently to streamline operations.
7. Hold account managers responsible for meeting critical production schedules and maintaining job standards.
8. Generate detailed reports on cost analysis, waste reduction efforts, delivery processes, and quality standards.
9. Collaborate with vendors to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement optimal production solutions.
10. Track and manage mock-ups, prototypes, and printer proofs in coordination with team members.
11. Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to develop innovative packaging and display solutions.
12. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance knowledge, skills, and growth opportunities within the production teams.
Requirements:
Digital Large Format Production: 10 years (preferred).
Leadership Role
Production management, planning & scheduling experience
Experience in a similar environment - retail marketing and/or agency, printer, project management or supply chain management environment.
Experience in cardboard manufacturing
