Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lean Agile Scrum Master to join the john Crane Slough team reporting to the Product Regulatory Compliance Program Manager. The Innovation Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in driving John Crane's position in the Dry Gas Seals marketplace. This role requires an experienced and skilled Scrum Master to oversee and guide hardware development teams, ensuring alignment with Scrum framework values and agile practices. The Innovation Scrum Master acts as a leader, fostering collaboration, facilitating decision-making, and driving progress across a diverse portfolio of innovation projects. By coaching teams in self-organisation, cross-functional communication, and agile principles, the Scrum Master empowers teams to achieve high-performing levels. They ensure project goals are met through meticulous planning, including artifacts such as Work Breakdown Structures and risk management controls. Additionally, they support organisational growth by collaborating with stakeholders, resolving impediments, and contributing to the refinement of agile practices. This role combines technical expertise, strategic oversight, and exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver high-quality products and services that meet the company's strategic business goals.
This role is based from our headquarters within Slough working Monday to Friday normal office hours.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)
* Act as a servant-leader and facilitator to support teams in the day-to-day operation of their lean-agile practices.
* Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
* Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
* Ensure that assigned projects have a minimum number of artifacts (e.g., Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, Responsibility Assignment Matrix, Responsible Accountable Consulted Informed (RACI) Matrix, time scheduling, resource planning, risk and change management controls, etc.) commensurate with the project categorization.
* Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge, and communicating effectively, both internally and externally, working within the Scrum team.
* Work with the Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision-making and support organizational project or product teams.
* Actively facilitate team events (e.g., Sprint Planning, Program Incremental Planning Event, Review, and Retrospective) and supporting activities such as backlog refinement to ensure that the highest priority outcomes are achieved.
* Resolve team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
* Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
* Work with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role.
* Support the team in identifying and addressing impediments to the attainment of goals, including taking action to remove impediments where appropriate.
* Get the team to a high-performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
* Contribute to the identification of training and development needs for the team as a whole and for individual team members as required.
* This position reports directly to the Product Regulatory Compliance Program Manager and is responsible for the oversight of a diverse portfolio of projects across the organization in order to drive progress and meet strategic business goals.
Qualifications
* Experience on an Agile for Hardware Team or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional, cross-geographical teams.
* Skilled in the facilitation of meetings.
* Ability to influence others at all levels of the business.
* Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple assignments with strict deadlines.
* Experience working on Lean Six Sigma projects.
* Leadership and management experience.
* Outstanding communication, negotiation, and coaching skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Practical experience of servant-leadership in agile teams.
* Excellent organisational skills
