Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a design manager within the wind energy sectorto oversee the regulatory compliance of offshore wind projects.
This is a hybrid role with home working available.
Candidates should have 5+ years experience from the wind energy sector in:
* managing design contracts & suppliers
* certification, control & review of documents
* experience of design of off shore wind facilities
* Key Responsibilities.
* Project Leadership: Lead the foundation design process for offshore wind projects, from initial concept through final design and construction.
* Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of geotechnical and structural engineering to create designs that ensure stability, durability, and cost efficiency in challenging marine environments.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholdersincluding structural engineers, geotechnical experts, environmental specialists, and marine contractorsto ensure seamless project delivery.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local, national, and international standards for offshore foundations, including those specific to the wind energy sector.
* Risk Management: Conduct detailed risk assessments and integrate mitigation strategies into design plans to address potential environmental, structural, and operational risks.
* Innovation and Optimization: Implement new technologies and design methodologies to enhance foundation efficiency and minimize the environmental impact of offshore wind structures.
* Project Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and project updates to keep stakeholders informed throughout project lifecycles.

* Manage schedule with (sub)contractors.
* Develop risk and quality incorporations and act to continuously seek improvements.
* Manage and keep up to date risk matrix.
* Actively work together with other packages and solve interface related topics.
* Ensure that a high focus on quality and HSE are maintained within the package.
