Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a part time Patient Pathway Administrator for hours, to join our friendly team within Ophthalmology. The post will be based at the Horton General hospital.
This post is crucial to the on-going development of the service and would suit a candidate who has excellent organisational and communication skills. You will be expected to liaise with staff and colleagues at all levels. You will have proven secretarial skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload to tight deadlines. You will need to demonstrate initiative and flexibility in your approach and be able to work in a pressurised and busy environment. The successful candidate will also manage each patient's pathway in a timely and efficient manner.
Knowledge of the Trust's Electronic Patient Record System (EPR) and knowledge of elective access standards would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
This position requires the demonstration of strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a team member. If you are self-motivated, enthusiastic and keen to join our team then we would encourage you to apply.

Job responsibilities
The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the Department. This will be through the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team. This will involve providing a full administration service to the consultant team and taking responsibility for managing the whole patient pathway in line with the Trust Elective Access policy.
