I am recruiting for a Transport Planner to join a busy multi-disciplinary's Transport Planning team in Central London. This consultancy works on projects across the UK such as a 10,000 home new development, sustainable infrastructure, and much more.

Transport Planner Responsibilities
1. Undertake and complete delegated tasks as assigned by Project Team members to a good professional standard within required timescales;
2. Advise the Project Team Leaders when problems arise;
3. Acquire and assess data (e.g. quotations, planning documents, drawings, surveys, PIA data, etc);
4. Prepare Scoping Reports and discuss/negotiate with local highway authority;
5. Produce TS, TPs and other reports, charts, tables, and diagrams on both Microsoft Word and Excel;
6. Delegate certain tasks to Graduate Engineers and Technicians, assisting in the coaching of less experienced staff;
7. Liaise with project team, and planning and highways officers.
Transport Planner Requirements
1. Have knowledge of:
o Planning system and processes;
o National and local Transport Planning Policy (e.g. NPPG, NPPF, the London Plan, etc.);
o Microsoft Office and Excel;
o Adobe Acrobat Reader and Pro;
o TRICS;
o Census Data (local population data).
2. Be able to use:
o AutoCAD (including Autotrack);
o Department for Transport Standards (e.g. DMRB, MfS, etc);
o TEMPRO;
o Junctions 9 and LINSIG;
o Census Data (Origin & Destination).
