As a WECO Engineer, you will implement and support the continuous improvement of water, energy and chemical usage efficiencies across all sites within a defined region of the UK/Ireland business. Please note: This role can be based at any of our UK sites, depending on the successful incumbent's location. Your Mission at Elis Key responsibilities of the role, include but are not limited to: Engaging with and developing the WECO strategy, to align with UK & group business target objectives. Supporting the sites to submit accurate TCL data and providing reports and guidance where issues are identified. Undertaking regular WECO site audits and providing reports with action plans, to a defined group standard. Implementing and supporting the on-going use of WECO management tools at site level (e.g. daily usage spreadsheets). Attending regular team meetings at venues potentially across the UK and Ireland. Providing direct support to the operations teams at the sites for WECO related issues. Providing detailed input to support the capex process, (e.g. data-driven reports that may determine the choice of equipment to be installed). Continually reviewing technologies available and propose potential utility-saving projects for the capital investment process. Providing WECO training within the designated region. What will make you stand out? A relevant Engineering qualification or similar discipline. This could be: A degree or similar qualification in Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering. A ONC/HNC/HND/degree in Mechanical Engineering. Any thesis undertaken as part of a university degree involving water, effluent or gas efficiency. The successful candidate will also have: Preferably at least 6 months experience in a laundry operations environment or similar. Excellent IT skills (email, all MS Office software but particularly Microsoft Excel). Capability to learn new software applications quickly and to a high standard (e.g. Answer, Dynamics AX, Power BI). Good organisation and time management skills. The ability to work efficiently alone as well as leading projects within a team. The ability to quickly learn technical terminology and processes. A Full UK driving licence. What's on offer?
