We currently have a vacancy for an Activities Instructor to be based at our Lendrick Muir Centre, near Kinross. Lendrick Muir is set in 120 acres of grounds with accommodation for up to 150 guests. Purpose: As an Activities Instructor, you will be part of an instruction team, delivering a range of activities to our guests. You will also support the development of new activities and maintain the activity equipment and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Play an integral part of the outdoor instructional team, leading and instructing outdoor activity sessions Assisting the Activities Manager with the training of the Trainee Activities Instructors; both on-site activities and working towards NGBs Look after guests during school residentials, including some evening work Participate fully in the life and ministry of the Lendrick Muir Centre and the wider Scripture Union Scotland organisation Who we are looking for: We are seeking applicants who have a passion for outdoor activities and a desire to use their faith to work with children and young people. Applicants for this post should have experience of instructing activities and hold two NGB Award (either CWI, BC Paddlesport Leader or MTB Level 2) and training towards a third NGB, as well as holding a current first aid certificate. Further NGB awards would be beneficial. A full UK Driving License is essential (preferably with D1 E). For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and are able to demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.
