GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a highly recognisable, leading manufacturer located in Droitwich. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for someone to join their team as a Service Engineer on a full time, permanent contract.
Our client is a world leader in the manufacturing of quality control instrumentation, sensors and automated gauges. They are currently going through a substantial period of growth and are looking to take someone on, immediately.
Please note: There is extensive international/worldwide travel and the expectation is 3 weeks out of 4 travelling. The other week would be office based. Please only apply if you can commit to this.
This position operates on a standard weekly shift pattern of Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 17:00pm.
For all the above requirements, the successful Service Engineer will receive an annual salary up to £40,000, plus a lot of additional company benefits.
The successful candidate for this role will provide on-site expertise and service to customers when providing commissioning, breakdown or preventative maintenance visits. You will also ensure that all aspects of visits are documented fully to allow appropriate follow up.

Service Engineer main duties:
1. To provide technical support on company products to include servicing, testing, installation, modification, user training and commissioning at any customer site.
2. To ensure that products are serviced and supported effectively, professionally and according to contract and process.
3. To contribute towards the continual development and improvement of procedures, practices and approaches for product support and service.
4. To ensure that customer issues and technical problems and enquiries are dealt with promptly and effectively ensuring high satisfaction levels at all times.
5. To discuss product and service satisfaction levels with customers on site retaining care that problems and issues are reported back and effectively actioned.
6. To help to identify product opportunities at sites visited passing leads and opportunities to the sales manager.
7. Assisting other departments in trials, tests and customer demonstrations, producing reports as appropriate.
8. To ensure strict compliance with both the company's, and all customers' health and safety policies at all times, undertaking appropriate training as and when necessary.
Service Engineer desired skills and experience:
1. Excellent technical skills across a range of engineering disciplines.
2. Must be willing to travel.
3. Must be able to drive.
4. Effective problem solving and fault finding abilities.
5. Good communication skills both internally and externally to the organisation.
6. Well organised and good attention to detail.
