Main Duties of the Job
This post may support one or more team(s) (these could be Medical or non-Medical staff). The focus of this role will include keyboard skills, data inputting, moderate use of display screen equipment, and manual handling of healthcare records.

Qualifications and Training
* Basic numeracy and literacy
* Educated to GCSE level with A-C grades in English & Maths or equivalent qualifications.
* Has gained or is willing to work towards NVQ2
Skills and Experience
* Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
* Ability to multi-task.
* Ability to interact with colleagues and other stakeholders courteously.
* Accuracy - pays attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to meet set deadlines.
* Experience of or awareness of a range of work practices in an office setting and in dealing with customers.
* Experience of having been part of a team.
* Use of email including updating of calendar and appointments.
* Ability to track information.
* Previous experience of working within a busy working environment.
* Previous NHS experience.
Governance
* Knowledge of the General Data Protection Act 1998 and the Access to Records Act 1990.
* The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff, and other health service business in accordance with Trust Policy.
