The role
Vision for Education are currently recruiting for an individual with a background in supporting children and young people who display social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
The school are requiring a behaviour support assistant to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in a small group. The school are requesting for a positive, patient, resilient individual that wants to make a difference to these children and young people’s lives. Being adaptable and flexible is essential within this role as you could be working with a range of ages from 4-18 years. Experience or a Team Teach qualification or equivalent is desirable and would be beneficial; however, it is not essential. As part of registering with ourselves Vision for Education, we can provide this training.
Requirements
The desired Behaviour Support Assistant is required:
1. Working with a range of ages from 4 – 18 years.
2. A positive role model and influence on individuals.
3. Using positive reinforcements to engage and promote learning.
4. Confident in working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
5. Able to remain calm when under pressure.
6. Ability to work well in a team and work alongside the class teacher to support the needs of the pupils.
7. Resilient individual.
8. Enhanced DBS (we can support with this process).
