Sacco Mann are recruiting for a Catastrophic Injury Solicitor (NQ to 5 PQE) to join a leading catastrophic injury team in Newcastle. The role would suit a Catastrophic Injury Solicitor within 1 year of qualification up to 5 years' post qualification, who have previous experience supporting on catastrophic injury cases valued in the region of £300k to £1million+.
Our Client is a leading national law firm, with several offices across the UK. The team act on behalf of a range of insurer clients on personal injury cases valued up to and in excess of £1million. Due to an influx of work, the team are now looking to recruit an additional Solicitor to support one of the lead Solicitors on a catastrophic injury caseload to include brain and spinal injury and amputation cases.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting on a caseload of catastrophic injury cases, to include brain and spinal injury and amputation cases valued up to £1million plus.
* Being the point of contact for incoming client queries and providing ongoing legal advice.
* Analysing liability evidence and identifying gaps.
* Interviewing witnesses and drafting statements.
* Corresponding with clients and third parties throughout the process.
* Drafting pleadings, applications and legal documentation.
* Instructing counsel and attending conferences.
* Preparing cases for trial.
* Negotiating settlement.
Requirements:
* A qualified Solicitor ideally in the region of 1-5 years' PQE though NQs with previous catastrophic injury experience will also be considered.
* Technically excellent, with strong knowledge of relevant case law and legal procedures.
* A clear and concise communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
Salary to £40,000 dependent on experience, though may increase for the right candidate.
