The Department of Computer Science at the University of York is looking for a research fellow (with a PhD or equivalent experience), to investigate and develop approaches that bridge CWA and OWA systems. The work will be done in the context of an industry-research collaboration between researchers in the Automated Software Engineering research group at York (Dr. Antonio García-Domínguez and Prof. Dimitris Kolovos) and key players in the UK defence industry (BAE Systems and Leonardo). Skills, Experience & Qualification needed Research Fellow (Grade 7) First degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another relevant discipline PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience Knowledge in software engineering to engage in high quality research Has research expertise in model-driven software engineering approaches Experience of undertaking publicly evidenced high quality research Evidenced active participation in the planning and advancement of research projects Research Environment You will join a large and internationally leading team who specialises in AI and software engineering, with a substantial research track record and success at delivering research results as part of big, collaborative research projects. The team includes five permanent members of academic staff, eight research associates/fellows, and 11 PhD students. The team is highly supportive and encourages cross-project collaboration, especially on joint publications and the development of new research projects.
