About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee the certification process for new construction products coming to the UK market such as insulation, windows, and doors. You’ll ensure test and product performance documentation are completed, insuring timelines are met, bottlenecks are resolved and keeping clients updated on progress of their certification. Basically, you will be coordinating all aspects of the certification process, from receiving test reports to managing the process of certification documents through various stages. This role does not require the technical knowledge of the product areas as there are certified / chartered professionals doing the testing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage up to 700 projects, ensuring the team complete all steps process and to set timeframes.
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
* Review test reports, ensuring they meet industry standards.
* Project manage detailed certification documents
* Maintain a high standard of project management, ensuring deadlines are met and delays are avoided.
* Help support the ongoing digital transformation that is going on throughout the business.
You will have a strong sense of organisation and an ability to keep multiple projects moving at once. Ideally, you’ll come from a, Engineering, manufacturing or construction-related background, with experience working in environments where products are being created or delivered. If you are used to seeing Products go through a design, quality and sign-off process then this role will be a straightforward transition.
The While technical expertise is not a must, an understanding of project management principles and an ability to adapt are essential. Prince II or PMP certifications would be advantageous, but are not essential (This company will sponsor you through such certifications)
Skills and Experience:
* Proven project management experience, ideally in construction or manufacturing.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
* Excellent communication skills, both internal and client-facing.
* Knowledge of certifications, quality control, or testing processes is a bonus.
* Familiarity with digital tools and a willingness to embrace digital transformation.
