Production Shift Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Shift Manager to join our team at Omega. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to manage a production area on dayshift or nightshift 4 on 4 off.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will oversee all operations across the department, ensuring safety, quality, line efficiency, and delivery. Reporting directly into the Plant Manager, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing team, undertaking a diverse role with responsibility for controlling the movement of raw materials through to finished goods in the factory.
Key Responsibilities
* Safety and Quality: Ensure a safe working environment and high-quality products by implementing robust processes and procedures.
* Team Leadership: Lead a team of technical operators, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve production targets.
* Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness.
* Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production flows and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A strong understanding of factory operations, including process, manufacturing, and packaging backgrounds.
* FMC G, Process, or fast-paced manufacturing industry experience, with knowledge of key drivers within an FMCG factory.
* Ideal candidate will have a proven record of driving improvements and possess a driven and can-do attitude.
* Knowledge of lean tools and passion for creating a culture based on delivering on time in full.
