We are looking for a Bookings Administrator in our Hereford Hospital who will be responsible administering a large volume of email requests from referrals to appointments, ensuring the hospital meets its service deliverables whilst exceeding customer expectations. Preferably you will hold a NVQ level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent and experience of working in a customer facing environment, to help us build a healthier nation.
The Opportunity
The Bookings Administrator will be responsible for effectively and efficiently booking patients in for their treatment as well as actioning appointment requests, ensuring the company is able to meet and exceed their service deliverables from a quantitative and qualitative perspective for all referrers at all times.
As a Bookings Administrator you will:
* Process requests received by e-mail. Obtaining relevant information from the patient, Consultant or Medical Secretary.
* Booking appointments and procedures on our patient database.
* Run daily administration reports and share these with different departments within the hospital.
* Maintain accurate and up to date records of all patients in accordance with company processes and procedures and within agreed timescales.
* Manage all patient queries during their journey through the hospital.
* Dispatch communications (reports, emails, telephone calls) to relevant parties to ensure appointments are processed effectively and efficiently and within agreed specified timescales.
The Person:
You will have the following skills:
* Previous experience working in a fast paced customer service environment
* Demonstrable ability to prioritise and organise a workload of changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent telephone manner
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
* Excellent working knowledge of Outlook and shared inboxes
* Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, bespoke database
* Excellent attention to detail
* An understanding of the importance of policies and operating procedures
