We are currently recruiting for a part-time Assistant SENCO to join a dynamic and supportive team at a well-established boys' secondary school in North Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in writing up EHCPs to make a positive impact in a thriving school environment. About the Role:
- Support the SENCO in managing the special educational needs provision across the school
- Assist in writing and reviewing EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) for students with special educational needs
- Work alongside teachers to ensure that students' individual needs are met through appropriate differentiation and support strategies
- Liaise with external agencies and parents to ensure the right level of support for students
- Help deliver tailored interventions to support students' academic and personal development
- Contribute to the creation of a supportive, inclusive learning environment for all students
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in SEN with knowledge of EHCP writing and supporting students with additional needs
- Previous experience in a secondary school setting
- A strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices for student support
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and external agencies
