We’re seeking a highly organised individual to join our Pricing team, to assist with the performance analysis and recommendation of pricing and underwriting changes to auto-rated products across Property, Casualty and Motor classes. You’ll have a passion for analysing data, utilising this to drive through pricing and underwriting changes to support strategic plans, ensuring that opportunities for development in this rapidly changing and developing SME marketplace are maximised. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Develop and deliver pricing and underwriting reviews for the profitable development of our auto-rated product range. Monitor, analyse and produce regular product performance reports. Review question sets, underwriting criteria and rating structures of open market, direct and software house products, and produce recommendations for implementation. Integrate key internal and external competitor monitoring data and other externally produced risk data with our pricing strategies and structures. Maintain suitable governance documentation of rate tables, rate structures, algorithms and price changes, so the appropriate approval process is undertaken. Recommend pro-active product development changes in consultation with other relevant stakeholders. Act as a key referral point for any IT queries, implementing timely measures to resolve key system issues. Develop more sophisticated rating engines for each product to support growth/profit objectives. Assist with the audit of external software house and broker systems ensuring that they meet all required underwriting and compliance standards. Experience of producing detailed analyses from a variety of data sources, across a wide range of factors affecting product performance – essential Experience using tools such as SAS, Radar, DataBricks, Power BI – advantage. Ability to make effective decisions based on analyses to drive profitable growth. Good analytical, presentation, influencing and persuasiveness skills. Effective communication, influencing and strong relationship building skills. Existing experience in the insurance industry with sound knowledge of small commercial products – preferred. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
