Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Events Manager to lead the Motorsport Events for their partners. You will work closely with the Operations Director and Commercial Director to help support and drive the events throughout the year. You will focus on motorsport events, including track day experiences, driver development programmes, racing and lifestyle events across the UK and Europe.
Please note this is a hybrid role based in Silverstone 2-3 days a week
Key Responsibilities
* Event Planning & Coordination: Lead and manage the planning and execution of motorsport events, including races, exhibitions, team gatherings, and VIP events.
* Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Oversee relationships with vendors, sponsors, and other external stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
* Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and control event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising event quality.
* Logistics & Operations: Coordinate event logistics, including transport, accommodation, catering, technical setups, and equipment.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, PR, and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and promotion of events.
* On-Site Event Management: Supervise the on-site event team and manage day-of-event operations, ensuring smooth execution and addressing any issues that arise.
* Post-Event Analysis: Evaluate the success of events by collecting feedback, analysing performance metrics, and compiling post-event reports.
Requirements
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in event management, preferably within motorsport, sports, luxury events or large-scale live events.
* Motorsport Knowledge: Strong understanding of motorsport events, teams, and industry trends would be useful but not essential.
* Project Management: Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and delivering successful events.
* Budget Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and track large event budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior stakeholders, sponsors, and event participants.
* Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring every aspect of the event is planned and executed flawlessly.
