Location: Hybrid/ Glasgow Office
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, between 8:00AM – 17:30PM)

At NewLaw Scotland, we are offering a unique opportunity for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join one of Scotland’s most innovative law firms, supporting clients through some of the most challenging moments in their lives. You’ll be working on high-value, complex cases, ensuring the best outcomes for those affected by medical negligence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing your own caseload of Clinical Negligence cases (litigated and non-litigated) in ASPIC and the Court of Session.
2. Using the Case Management System effectively in accordance with agreed procedures to ensure cases are proactively managed.
3. Conduct detailed legal research, draft pleadings, and attend case management hearings.
4. Provide expert advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process, ensuring they feel supported.
5. Engage with medical experts and counsel to build strong, successful cases.
About You:
1. Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical negligence.
2. Proven ability to manage clinical negligence claims from initiation to settlement or proof.
3. Strong communication skills, with a compassionate and client-focused approach.
4. Able to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent client service.
5. A passion for healthcare law with a commitment to professional development and excellence.
